We're looking for a creative and organized Chef who creates menus with as much ease as he or she unearths interesting talent for the brigade and dishwashing team. Thanks to their meticulous attention to detail and good management of time and resources, this natural leader plans orders for the restaurant, banquets, meetings and the Café, while sharing with their team the most important details linked to the smooth running of activities in their sector.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Maintain the quality of the hotel's food offering and catering and banqueting service by evaluating performance and providing ongoing feedback to his/her team.
- Manage purchasing and proper storage of products and merchandise to meet financial expectations and quality standards.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and ensure best value for products.
- Recruit, train and supervise the brigade and stewarding team, as well as plan their schedules in order to maintain an optimal labor ratio for needs, within budget.
- Meet health and safety standards in production and service facilities at all times.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Culinary arts diploma, an asset
- 2 to 5 years' experience in catering, including 1 to 2 years in team management
- Sharp event planning skills including efficient cost and yield management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to lead and support a team in all kinds of situations
