Responsibilities

The "OpenIT" (GCOO/DDS) team is responsible for the Low Code / No Code managed platform "MAXX". This allows the rapid development teams (commandos) and the business (citizen developer) to create applications autonomously to the standard of industrial IT. Two technologies are available to users: Python (2.5M lines of code, +1500 applications, +3000 users) and the Microsoft Power Platform solution, including the use of AI (currently under construction for the SocgenAI initiative).

Most of the users are risk analysts, traders, commando IT teams working for CIB market activities.

This initiative allows to accelerate the development and delivery times in production between x5 and x10 depending on the use cases, while ensuring compliance with the constraints of banking regulation: traceability of data, code, calls, authentication, managed delivery pipeline, catalog, quality of deliverables, resilience, monitoring...

As a VIE you will be the local relay of the Paris and Bangalore dev teams and help to cover local developments and support for the AMER region. You will be integrated in a global team, formed of experts and seniors, willing to share and help you to tap into your full potential, while being autonomous and responsible of developments, delivery and production quality.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • You are responsible of developing micro services (Java, Spring Boot) and front end Java Script applications REACT) while leveraging on different other technologies: MongoDB, Postgre SQL, Ansible, GitHub...
  • You contribute to 2nd/3rd level support (production monitoring, bug analysis, participation in production-related penalty payments) on AMER time zone
  • You are responsible for translating (writing and validating) functional specifications into technical specifications/parameterization specifications and for monitoring compliance
  • You are responsible for compliance with applicable standards and procedures (architecture, security, quality, documentation) and for maintaining developments
  • You Prepare, contribute, and monitor unit/integration testing and performance testing
  • You follow the kanban / agile methodology of the project and contributes effectively to the team delivery

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master's degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in IT
  • A previous 3-year work experience would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English

Operational, technical & soft skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
