Senior Piping / Layout Designer

Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Piping / Layout Designer in the Oil and Gas industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Senior Piping/Layout Designer plays a key role within the drafting team and reports to the Drafting Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience with process package or fabrication.

Responsibilities:

• Check & update P&ID’s
• Create accurate 3D layout & piping models
• Take the lead in 3D model reviews
• Check and approve vendor supplied drawings
• Produce fabrication isometric drawings
• Create and detail general arrangement drawings
• Create pressure vessel models and fabrication details and assist piping checker as and when required
• Mentor junior and intermediate designers

Successful candidates will have:

• 10+ years experience in piping and layout design
• Proficient in the use of Cadworx 3D software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
• Strong knowledge in the use of Isogen for spool generation
• Strong knowledge in plant processes and layout
• Excellent communication Skills
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team
