Estate Litigation Lawyer

Harrison Pensa is currently recruiting an Estate Litigation Lawyer to join our Wills and Estates Practice group. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to practice with expert and highly regarded practitioners on complex matters assisting individuals, beneficiaries, trustees, financial institutions, and trust companies. Our team prioritizes our relationship with clients through advocacy, and it is our top priority to resolve their legal issues.

The ideal candidate will have one to five years of experience in estate litigation or a related field and be a collaborative, highly organized, detail-oriented team player.

Responsibilities

• Working on various Estate Litigation matters (including will challenges, claims against trustees, spousal and dependants’ claims against estates, passings of accounts, and POA and guardianship disputes);
• Attending court on motions and applications, and examinations for discovery and cross-examinations;
• Assisting more senior lawyers on complex matters, and taking carriage of straightforward matters as appropriate;
• Drafting court documents and communications to clients and opposing counsel:
• Legal research.
