Come join our committed team of professionals who play a vital role in transforming the Women’s Emergency Accommodation Centre (WEAC) into a world class shelter offering wrap around clinical support. WEAC serves people who identify as women, are 18+ years of age and are seeking supports to end their homelessness.

The Wellness Manager will play a key leadership role at WEAC, a program dedicated to supporting women aged 18 and older on their journey out of homelessness. This position involves promoting wellness among all WEAC residents, supervising a team of Life Skills Coordinators and Wellness Coaches, and collaborating across disciplines to ensure safe, effective, and culturally grounded programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction as part of WEAC’s management team.
  • Supervise and support staff using trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and relational practices.
  • Coordinate case management and wellness-focused care planning.
  • Champion a community-based, culturally responsive approach to recovery and stabilization.
  • Ensure effective risk management, incident response, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee budget, documentation, and program evaluation processes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent (RSW in good standing preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive supervisory experience and 2+ years working with vulnerable populations using trauma-informed and Indigenous worldviews.
  • Strong competency in harm reduction, de-escalation, and inclusive practice.
  • Proven ability to foster a team environment and a community of practice.
