We have an open position available for a full-time, in-office conveyancer at our newly opened Edmonton office (hybrid/remote may be considered). Minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative role.

- Prepare legal documents and contracts related to real estate transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Conduct thorough title searches and examinations to identify any potential issues or encumbrances on the subject properties; collaborate with relevant stakeholders, such as lenders and surveyors, to resolve any title-related concerns.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of real estate transactions, including communicating with clients, real estate agents, and other legal professionals involved in the process. Ensure all necessary documents and paperwork are accurately prepared and filed on time.
- Perform due diligence by reviewing relevant property information, conducting research, and verifying legal documents to ensure the legality and authenticity of the real estate transactions.
- Facilitate the closing and settlement process by preparing closing statements, coordinating with all parties involved, and ensuring the transfer of funds and legal documents as contracted.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service throughout the real estate transaction process. Any concerns should be addressed promptly and professionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Completion of a legal assistant program from a recognized institution with a minimum of 3 years' experience working within an Albertan law firm;
- Ability to independently complete 20-25 transactions per month, including sales, purchases, mortgages, builder transactions, and refinances.
- Working knowledge of Albertan conveyancing processes and real estate law, including contract law, and land titles systems.
- Knowledge of British Columbia conveyancing processes an asset (but not required).
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and relevant conveyancing software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Proactive and professional approach to handling inquiries and requests.
