Description

Armour Transportation is looking for a Shift Dispatcher based out of our Moncton, NB location.

In this fast-paced and dynamic role, you’ll work closely with internal teams, drivers, and customers to ensure equipment and freight are where they need to be—safely, efficiently, and on time. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the center of the action and driving operational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams across departments, terminals, and customers to overcome logistical challenges and keep freight and equipment moving.
  • Communicate directly with drivers, providing them with everything they need for successful job completion.
  • Support internal planning and revenue operations, especially when unique circumstances arise.
  • Coordinate equipment usage and maintenance, always looking for ways to minimize empty miles and boost efficiency.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, safety briefings, and company events.
  • Assist drivers in planning vacation coverage and ensure visibility plans are kept up to date for supervisors.

Working Conditions

What We’re Looking For

  • Thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced setting where no two days are the same.
  • Comfortable working a 2/2/3 schedule with 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
  • Ability to handle high volumes of communication through email, phone, and satellite messaging with confidence and professionalism.

  • Experience with the TruckMate system is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to prepare reports in Word and Excel.
  • Confident with general computer use and quick on the keyboard.
