Position Overview

As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our seafood processing facility. Working alongside the Plant Manager and production teams, you will help uphold high-quality standards, streamline workflows, and lead production staff to achieve operational goals. This hands-on leadership position requires demonstrated seafood processing experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Plant Manager and collaborate with the Production Manager to oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency and quality assurance.
  • Develop and coordinate production schedules, managing material availability and labor needs.
  • Maximize the use of plant equipment and workforce to enhance output and control costs.
  • Gather, track, and evaluate production data to drive operational improvements.
  • Uphold high-quality standards while innovating and implementing new processing methods.
  • Support logistics for incoming and outgoing products to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Mentor, train, and collaborate with production staff to foster a skilled and motivated team.
  • Enforce all safety regulations and promote best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges promptly to minimize production downtime.
  • Operate forklifts as needed in both production and cold storage areas.


Qualifications And Skills

  • Prior experience in the seafood processing industry is required.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with excellent problem-solving skills to inspire and guide teams.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in plant operations and production scheduling.
  • Knowledge of seafood safety standards and processing best practices.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-speed environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in Chinese, Japanese, or Vietnamese is a plus.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and collaborative approach.
