Overview Summary
The position is responsible for ensuring that the department processes are conducted according to standard accounting practices and that proper financial controls in place in each operating area of the department. The incumbent is also responsible for providing related financial and operational information to the different areas serviced by the department, namely the Pulp and Paper division and the Containerboard mills of Kruger Packaging, in the objective of supporting business decisions. The position reports to the Sales accounting and credit director.

The position reports to the Sales accounting and credit director.
Responsabilities
- In collaboration with the sales accounting director, oversee the complete revenue cycle.
- Provides visibility of our profitability including Millnet and marginal contribution to support sales and our group controllers.
- Provides financial information, KPIs, reports and analytical support surrounding sales operations. This is being done by working closely with the Group Controllers, Sales management and Sales operations management.
- Performs analysis and develops tools to assist the business with decision making (i.e. volume sold, pricing, inventory, distribution costs etc.)
- Coordinates and validates the annual and quarterly sales budgets, in collaboration with Group Controllers, Sales Management and Sales operations management. The incumbent also performs monthly reviews of actuals to budget, identifying discrepancies and formulates recommendations.
- Help optimize and automate the processes and system functions related to sales accounting. The position also supports the optimization of processes and of the other functionalities of the “Order-To-Cash” system, including system and reporting enhancements, to meet evolving transactional and business requirements of the serviced divisions.
- Identify accounting issues and find opportunities, based on standard accounting practices and Company standards, to propose new processes and mitigate risks.
- Investigate data discrepancies issues, work to identify and correct the source and/or cause.
- Collaborate with IT department for new projects and tools related to sales operations.
- CPA title with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in financial or management accounting, preferably in a similar role.
- Good business acumen and ability to grasp priority issues.
- Autonomy, initiative and leadership.
- Strong analytical and system skills and creativity.
- Ability to establish solid relationships and work in team with various stakeholders.
- Comfortable with a rapidly changing environment.
- Knowledge and experience of accounting systems and ERP systems (JD Edwards would be a key asset).
- Good verbal and written communication skills, both in French and English.
