Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the Specialist - Human Resources, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Provide guidance to employees and supervisors regarding the interpretation and application of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support the organization in a rapidly changing operational environment.
  • Participate in and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate and strengthen internal communication processes across departments and teams.
  • Ensure that the work environment consistently aligns with organizational standards for employee wellness and engagement.
  • Collaborate in achieving the Human Resources Department’s strategic goals specific.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including scheduling interviews, participating in candidate evaluations, and drafting job descriptions as needed.
  • Plan and coordinate site-based social activities aimed at fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Support the planning and execution of Agnico Eagle’s community-based events, including stakeholder engagement, logistical coordination, and venue management.
  • Serve as a liaison and collaborate with Kitikmeot Inuit Association IIBA personnel on matters related to Human Resources.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline, complemented by a diploma or certificate in Human Resources.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a comparable Human Resources role.
  • Previous experience in an industrial environment, with direct exposure to the mining sector is considered a valuable asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Note that the official working language at Hope Bay is English.

Your Work Schedule

  • Schedule: 21 days of work, followed by 21 days for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
