We are seeking a part time Fitness Administrative Assistant to join our Fitness Centre Team. As a Part-Time Fitness Admin Assistant, you will provide administration support to the Fitness Director and Fitness Supervisor, whilst also providing exceptional customer service to users of the facility. This is a great opportunity to combine a passion for fitness with the love for thorough and accurate administration.

Responsibilities

  • Complete administrative duties as required in support of the Fitness Director, The Fitness Supervisor and The Fitness Centre such as data entry of fitness centre statistics, maintenance tracking, cleaning logs and certification logs
  • Complete administrative tasks in Northstar and Group ExPro including programming, program registrations, cancellations, proration, billing, and compiling statistics
  • Ensure that appropriate information is included in member communications such as weekly emails, Glencoe Life or other opportunities to communicate to the members and other staff about Fitness Centre happenings
  • Attend all staff meeting and in-service training sessions
  • Plan and organize events, including team events, fitness events and member fitness challenges
  • Actively contribute to the marketing of Fitness Events
  • Ensures the physical areas are well appointed and clean and the equipment is maintained appropriately

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year post-secondary education in the area of Sports & Leisure Management, Health Sciences, Kinesiology or Certified Personal Fitness Trainer
  • AFLCA, ACE, CSCS, NSCA, CFC and other fitness instruction certifications are an asset
  • Knowledge of fitness, health and/or recreation activities and guidelines
  • Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to multi-task

Additional Details

This is a Part Time position that reports to the Fitness Director. The successful applicants must be available to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check including a Vulnerable Sector Check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The Club does not provide assistance with obtaining Canadian work authorization
