The Marketing Operations Associate Role
As a Marketing Operations Associate, you will be the driving force behind successful client relationships. You’ll lead client calls, manage project timelines, and ensure every deliverable exceeds expectations. Acting as a key point of contact, you’ll troubleshoot technical issues, build advanced automation solutions, and provide strategic recommendations that help clients grow. Your expertise in marketing automation platforms and CRM systems will empower you to optimize processes and mentor team members. As a Marketing Operations Associate, you will:
- Lead client kick-off and weekly status calls, set expectations, and provide regular updates
- Manage task distribution and ensure all deliverables are completed
- Serve as the main or backup point of contact for client communications and project management
- Oversee and support Coordinators, including helping onboard and train new team members
- Monitor and resolve client marketing automation platform-CRM sync issues
- Conduct client account audits with the Account Team, reviewing marketing automation platform sections and making strategic recommendations
- Understand and explain marketing automation platform-CRM sync, third-party integrations, and lifecycle stages
- Provide marketing automation platform & CRM strategic and process improvement recommendations to clients
- QA all personal deliverables and review Account Team work for accuracy before client delivery
- Build advanced marketing automation solutions (e.g., lead scoring, nurture programs, integrations)
- Navigate and explain marketing automation platform Admin features, including advanced forms and sync filters
- Build and explain basic reports in marketing automation platform and CRM systems, including marketing funnel reporting
- Perform advanced CRM tasks (e.g., Dataloader use, page layout updates, basic flows)
- Keep the client team aligned with project goals and timelines
- Clearly articulate the scope of Start plans and maintain client expectations
- Demonstrate expertise in marketing automation and B2B lifecycle marketing concepts
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Proven expertise in marketing automation platforms (e.g. Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot) and CRM (Salesforce) systems
- In-depth understanding of B2B marketing channels and lifecycle marketing concepts
- Excellent project management and client communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to provide strategic recommendations and process improvements
- Effective training and mentoring skills
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
