The ideal Mining Studies Manager will have experience managing multi-disciplinary compliant studies, from PEA through to FS, with strong financial modelling experience and ability to act as an overall qualified person. This individual will use their leadership skills every day, whether it’s to develop trusting relationships with our partners in the region, train the next generation, or manage a passionate team. This role will requires the right candidate to take the lead, while also being in the thick of the action by working closely with talented people.

- Manage the execution of multiple, concurrent studies / projects to meet the agreed objectives and KPIs.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Studies team to deliver solutions by applying knowledge of industry developments and experience, while acting as a mentor for junior team members.
- Support the growth of the mining and metals team in Western Canada, through initiating and seizing business development opportunities, leveraging your network to generate proposals, and conducting presentations for new clients/projects
- Collaborate with our national and international teams, leading studies based on your unique skillset, not just your office location.
- Manage client relationships and expectations.

Overview of certifications and job requirements
- Over 15 years of experience in the mining industry
- Registered Professional Engineer, Technician or Geologist and ability to act as an overall Qualified Person
- Extensive experience in the developing, delivering and operating mining or mineral processing studies and projects
- Previously worked on a client/owner`s team or been a study manager, area manager, engineering manager or lead engineer on several projects/studies
- Strong understanding of NI 43-10, JORC, and SK-1300 reporting codes and technical reports
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills (English - written and spoken)
- Major asset: Technical skills in resource estimation, mine design, process development and/or financial modelling

- Annual base salary between – $143,000 to $176,000
