The Opportunity: The Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Supervisor for Lagimodiere is responsible for all activities associated with the effective and efficient operation of the MRO Spare Parts Storeroom. Reporting to the Reliability Leader, this role has overall responsibility for the management of inventory levels, purchasing practices, and warehouse operations. They are responsible from demand to fulfillment of spare parts for use by maintenance or operations.

- Execution of MRO planning and management best practices in day to day operations
- Manage purchasing of maintenance related spare parts inventory, consumables and services
- Manage sourcing and development of alternative suppliers
- Manage vendor relationship including performance
- Manage spare parts replenishment criteria to ensure “right sized” inventory
- Manage spare parts movements to maximize transparency and financial accuracy and minimize inventory cycle count deficiencies
- Drive cost reduction activities
- Provide oversight, guidance, training and support to staff
- Manage, coach and mentor storekeepers, purchasers, receivers, coordinators
- Manage new part creation and extension requests
- Responsible to ensure all corporate standards are followed in the execution of storeroom activities
- Oversee the development of plant specific standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Responsible for analyzing and reporting MRO metrics to plant and corporate leadership as required
- Shall demonstrate full commitment to the implementation of the requirements of the Global Standard for Food Safety and to processes which facilitate continual improvement of food safety and quality management
- Ensure qualified resources complete MRO spares management work activities in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in an MRO purchasing, MRO inventory, or maintenance management role in a manufacturing facility. Food manufacturing an asset
- College Diploma in purchasing/inventory management
- Certification in supply chain or procurement management
- Strong and effective negotiation skills
- Strong and effective personnel management skills (work assignment, coaching, mentoring, etc.)
- Ability to delegate, collaborate, and resolve conflict
- Strong team building and motivating skills
- Ability to develop team competencies
- Strong knowledge of MRO parts and warehouse management
- Experienced in ERP/MRP systems. Strong SAP knowledge an asset
- Able to quickly learn new software and new processes
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills, an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail are required skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Good understanding of food processing and regulatory requirements is an asset
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
