We are seeking a dynamic Registered Social Worker for our permanent part-time 0.75fte opportunity at the Penticton Regional Hospital. The position works in a shared seven day per week line with a rotating schedule of two days on, two days off, five days on and five days off. The position primarily supports the surgical unit, day care surgery, and a very busy Emergency department. Shift times are 08:20 to 16:30.

The Social Worker provides comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families. Working collaboratively with other health care providers and the multidisciplinary team, the Social Worker provides direct psychosocial care, counseling and group work, system navigation and advocacy, education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources while facilitating client self management. The Social Worker is responsible for providing and developing social work services to maintain or improve the health and social well-being and functioning of the identified population.
