Job Requirements:

• Master of Library & Information Studies degree, or equivalent, from ALA-accredited institution is required.
• Experience working with community organizations, Aboriginal peoples, and newcomer populations is preferred.
• Experience working as a professional Librarian is preferred.

• Ability to work effectively outside of traditional library activities and settings.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and new service directions.

• Ability to contribute positively and work effectively within a team environment.

$41.02 - $52.36 per hour*

• Approximately $74,954 - $95,661 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.

Shift differential may apply in accordance with the terms and conditions of the CSU 52 Collective Agreement Note:

• Satisfactory background screenings is required for this position which includes a Criminal Record Check/Police Information Check.
• This position consists of varied schedules which include day, evening and weekend shifts. Community Librarians are subject to variable hours of work as per the Collective Agreement and shift length may vary based on operational needs.
