Where You’ll Work – This role is open to remote work from one of the provinces that we are established in: Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. There are opportunities for hybrid work if located in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Job Description
We are recruiting an Inside Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic Inside Sales Team. The ideal candidate is driven to uncover customer pain points and apply LuminUltra’s microbial solutions to create measurable impact. Success will be measured through revenue growth within our portfolio of technologies and solutions. This position offers a base salary range of $45,000 to $55,000 CAD, depending on experience, with the opportunity for increased compensation through our Sales Incentive Bonus Plan.
In this role, you will focus on generating and nurturing new business opportunities and educating the Food & Beverage market on the power of LuminUltra’s expertise and solutions. Specifically, you will own targeted account growth, inbound and outbound lead management, and outreach to drive interest, commitment, and sales growth of our technologies and solutions. This is an exciting role, within a dynamic organization, that interfaces with all critical commercial functions – Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience and Product Management.
We’re seeking someone who can hit the ground running, ideally with hands-on knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, and a strong understanding of microbial sanitation or hygiene monitoring.
The Inside Sales Development Representative will work to support key organizational objectives and have key responsibilities such as:
- Targeting growth of our business by consistently meeting or exceeding sales quota.
- Accelerating new customer acquisition by owning inbound leads and creating/qualifying sales opportunities.
- Driving revenue growth by taking full responsibility for the sales process, including identifying opportunities, nurturing leads, handling objections, and closing new and expansion business.
- Developing best practices for lead generation, lead nurturing, and opportunity creation, focusing on improving velocity from lead creation to close.
- Creating and executing direct account engagement strategies, including creating playbooks with sequences to support outbound, upsell/cross-sell, nurturing, and re-engaging closed-lost opportunities.
- Advocating for the voice of our customers, sharing customer insight to Product Management, Marketing, and Sales on innovations and continuous improvements that are needed to improve the customer experience.
Qualifications
- 12 - 24 months of relevant sales experience required in Food & Beverage Market or relevant industry experience.
- Previous cold-calling experience required.
- Educational background in sanitation, hygiene, or quality assurance programs within the Food & Beverage sector is an advantage.
- You are self-motivated and looking for an opportunity to develop within an organization that is on a consistent growth and expansion trajectory.
- Results-driven & competitive nature- you have a proven ability to make strong connections and overcome rejection to achieve results.
- Superb writing, communication, and listening skills, with the ability to listen to and empathize with the customer.
- A collaborative that prioritizes ‘we’ rather than ‘me’. You believe that the whole is greater than the sum of all parts.
