Our Ideal Candidate

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for leading a team of Technicians and Engineers that make up the Transportation Team in which you will guide with your expertise in securing and delivering transportation projects. You will lead a group that is primarily focused on construction administration projects, supplemented with transportation designs for several jurisdictions and clients. Your duties include performing assessments/inspections; preparing preliminary and detailed designs; developing quantity and cost estimates; writing specifications; preparing reports and tender packages; and leading the submission of proposals. Using your organizational, communication and people skills, you will collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high quality standards.

A Day in the Life

  • Lead daily operations and strategic growth of Allnorth’s Transportation group in Saskatchewan.
  • Oversee project delivery for a variety of Saskatchewan Ministry of Highway and municipality infrastructure contracts.
  • Provide mentorship and support to a team of engineers, technologists, and field inspectors.
  • Manage internal coordination, staffing, and quality control across multiple projects.
  • Build strong client relationships, particularly with the Ministry of Highways and associated contractors.
  • Work with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic long-term growth planning.
  • Ensure all aspects of the project work are on track in regard to scope, schedule, budget and safety.
  • Coordinating with business development leaders to contribute project proposal efforts.
  • Travel to project locations will be expected.

What you'll bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and ability to be registered as a P.Eng. in Saskatchewan.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in the Transportation Industry delivering construction and/or design engineering projects.
  • Approved as a Second Level Supervisor (SLS) in one or more categories with Saskatchewan Ministry of Highway’s is considered an asset.
  • Knowledgeable in Saskatchewan Ministry of Highway’s standards, manuals and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with and lead team members in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Technical competence and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead the day-to-day operations and provide strategic growth of the team while supporting Allnorth’s other business lines and opportunities.
  • Provide winning proposals, make business decisions and report on data to company representatives.
  • Client focused, ensuring complete satisfaction in our team’s work.
