We are currently looking for a Human Resource & Management Assistant to support our Human Capital team. This position plays an essential role in coordinating temporary staffing needs and providing day-to-day HR support. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:

- Act as Primary Contact with Temporary Help Staffing Agencies
Serve as the main liaison between the company and temporary staffing partners for coordination and issue resolution.
- Manage End-to-End Recruitment for Hourly Roles
Perform administrative tasks; Oversee job postings, screening, scheduling interviews, and preparing offers to ensure timely staffing.
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers
Understand departmental staffing needs and align recruitment strategies accordingly.
- Maintain Recruitment Trackers & Reports
Keep ATS and vacancy trackers updated; prepare weekly staffing reports for HR and management.
- Coordinate Interview Scheduling & Candidate Experience
Organize interviews and ensure a professional and positive experience for all candidates.
- Track and Support Agency Staff
Register agency workers in time and attendance systems; resolve attendance or clock-in issues.
- Assist with Onboarding and Compliance
Support new hire orientation and ensure completion of required documentation and health & safety training.
- Provide HR and Payroll Support
Assist with payroll processing, vacation tracking, and other administrative HR functions as needed.
- Act as Primary Contact with Temporary Help Staffing Agencies
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in staffing coordination, HR administration, or talent acquisition.
- Prior experience in the staffing industry is a definite asset.
- Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and health & safety requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); HRIS or timekeeping system experience is an asset.
