Description

Join our Team and what we will accomplish together

TELUS is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to drive the transformation of reporting across our Consumer Sales Channels. As the Manager of the Consumer Channels Reporting Centre of Excellence, you will lead the development and execution of scalable reporting solutions, facilitate migration from legacy platforms to modern BI tools, and enable self-serve, insight-driven decision-making across multiple teams. This role plays a critical part in establishing our Reporting Center of Excellence (CoE), aligning business stakeholders on unified KPIs, and laying the foundation for automation.

Who we are

We are the newly established Reporting Center of Excellence within TELUS’ Consumer Channels group, focused on creating a unified, insight-driven analytics ecosystem. Our mission is to:

  • Simplify and standardize reporting across sales channels
  • Build sustainable, governed reporting frameworks that support strategic decisions
  • Evolve our analytics maturity by adopting cloud-first technologies and AI-driven insights
  • Partner with stakeholders across operations, and executive teams to align on performance measurement and business impact

Here’s how

  • Lead a high-performing analytics team responsible for delivering trusted, scalable dashboards and deep-dive analysis to support Consumer Sales Channel objectives
  • Own the end-to-end migration of dashboards from legacy BI tools (e.g., Domo) to Tableau and Looker Studio, ensuring reporting aligns with TELUS’ Premier Sales Organization framework and executive goals
  • Establish and manage the Reporting Center of Excellence, including governance processes, intake models, metric definitions, change management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Develop scalable reporting solutions in GCP-based environments (BigQuery, Looker Studio, Tableau) to enable faster, more accurate, and self-serve decision-making
  • Collaborate with data engineering, marketing, operations, and technology teams to improve data quality, streamline data pipelines, and remove friction from insight generation
  • Drive innovation by piloting new technologies like Tableau Pulse and AI-enhanced storytelling, with a focus on automating insights and surfacing trends before they impact performance
  • Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders by transforming complex data into clear, actionable stories through visualizations, executive dashboards, and KPI scorecards
  • Champion a culture of curiosity and learning, developing team skills in GenAI, predictive analytics, and storytelling to move from static reporting to proactive business insights

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Proven leadership experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence (7+ years), ideally with 3+ years in people leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based analytics ecosystems (especially GCP, BigQuery, and Looker/Tableau)
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale reporting migrations and establishing scalable reporting frameworks
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into actionable data strategies
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills with a strong business acumen
  • Passion for automation, process efficiency, and enabling business stakeholders through insights
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams including data engineering, marketing, operations, finance, and executive leadership
  • Familiarity with AI, ML, or predictive analytics concepts is an asset (even if not directly hands-on)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, computer science, or related discipline (advanced degree an asset)
