Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of _Oldcastle APG_ and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.
We are currently looking for an **Industrial Mechanician** , to fill a position at our **Metcalfe** facility, Southern Ottawa. The candidate must be available to work on **dayshift during week or weekend** , when required.
The incumbent will be mainly responsible for the reliability and good functioning of machines, equipment and systems.
More specifically, he or she will be a self-starter, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, program and lead the preventative maintenance on mechanical components under his or her responsibility.
The incumbent will also be involved in parts inventory, lead mechanical shutdowns, reporting, record keeping, housekeeping, and safety improvements.

- Diploma in industrial mechanics or electromechanics
- Electric competency
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in an industrial environment
- Hydrolic and pneumatic experience
- Machining experience
- Know how to arc/tig welding
- Knowing how to interpret mechanical parts
- Demonstrated experience with hand tools
