Position Overview:
Exel Systems Inc. is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and motivated inside sales person to work in conjunction with our sales staff, owners, consulting engineers, and contractors. We pride ourselves on the work we do for our clients and fill our team with individuals driven to achieve excellence. This position will be a key member of our sales team and will report directly to the Office Manager and lead estimator.
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the sales team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage potential customers through outbound calls, emails, and online research while developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and product information to clients and stakeholders.
- Estimate and bid projects, including take-offs, pricing, coordinating job closing dates, and following up on jobs bid.
- Coordinate all aspects of successfully bid projects with Sales, Management, Project Managers, Contractors, Engineers, and Owners.
- Manage the processing and submission of shop drawings in coordination with Project Managers, Sales, and the General Manager.
- Provide technical support and expertise to coworkers and customers, including occasional on-site assistance.
- Foster relationships with suppliers, engineers, building owners, government agencies, and contractors.
- Participate in industry events such as conferences and ASHRAE to expand company presence and network.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, preferably in the HVAC industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- A relevant trade ticket, Mechanical Engineering Technologist or P. ENG. designation is a plus.
