Job Overview

SNDL is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Product Manager to lead the roadmap, delivery, and optimization of our e-commerce and loyalty platforms. This role is instrumental in driving customer engagement, enhancing the digital customer journey, and aligning technology initiatives with business goals.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, ERP and Enterprise Applications, the Product Manager leads the vision, development, and optimization of our customer-facing eCommerce and loyalty experiences across web and mobile platforms. This role will be critical in driving innovation and measurable value in our digital retail channels, ensuring seamless integration and performance of solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Shopify.

As a Product Manager, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders, business technology teams, and external vendors to deliver digital platforms that are scalable, dependable, and aligned with SNDL’s strategic growth plans.

Roles And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the product roadmap for eCommerce and Loyalty platforms, aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, strategy, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality, customer-centric digital experiences.
  • Identify and prioritize platform improvements based on user feedback, data insights, and market trends.

Delivery & Execution

  • Lead cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle – from concept and design to launch and continuous improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into clear product specifications and user stories.
  • Manage backlogs and sprints in collaboration with engineering, operations and business segment teams.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance, SLAs, and technology fit.
  • Ensure product compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with Liquor and Cannabis Retail, Marketing & Merchandising teams, and Corporate Strategy to define product needs and deliver key capabilities.
  • Regularly communicate product plans, updates, KPIs, and insights to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Drive alignment between business goals and technical delivery.

Customer-Centric Thinking

  • Advocate for user research, usability testing, and continuous feedback loops.
  • Leverage analytics tools to monitor product performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or PMP is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of product, project or application management experience in retail or eCommerce environments.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce and customer loyalty solutions, including Shopify, Microsoft D365 Commerce and CRM.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive customer experiences.
  • Solid grasp of web technologies, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
