This role is part of our Global Studio team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients, including eBay, Walmart, and more! The role is hybrid, based in Toronto.
Job Purpose
As the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our agency by developing and implementing strategic talent acquisition initiatives for our DEPT Studios team. You will embody DEPT's culture as the initial ambassador for candidates, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their recruitment journey. By collaborating closely with leadership teams, you will gain a deep understanding of role requirements, deliver regular updates on hiring progress, and offer valuable market insights and drive informed decision-making together with the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading the DEPT Studio Talent Acquisition recruitment team across UK & Canada;
- Developing and implementing a Talent Acquisition strategy for our DEPT Studio team;
- Partner with hiring managers and department heads to understand their staffing needs and provide strategic guidance on talent acquisition;
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize recruitment processes and strategies;
- Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders to share hiring updates and insights;
- Devising and implementing ways to attract candidates;
- Building and maintaining a network of potential candidates to quickly fill positions;
- Screen, interview, and guide candidates through the entire application process;
- Implement best practices and innovative approaches to attract top talent;
- Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment process to build a diverse workforce.
- Proven experience in a senior talent acquisition role, preferably within a creative or agency environment;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team;
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at senior leadership levels;
- A track record of developing and executing successful talent acquisition strategies;
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment best practices, tools, and technologies;
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices;
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform decision-making.
- Have proven experience in placing candidates in in-house positions up to a lead and managerial level.
