Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Clinical UX Analyst to work on a CIS Program to ensure clinicians are provided with the correct tools and technology that meet their needs. The existing fleet of Endpoint devices will be increasing along with the use of different types of devices (phones, tablets, scanners, etc.) to support new functionality of the CIS, such as enhanced electronic documentation.



Responsibilities:

• Elicitation of Clinical User Experience Requirements: Engage clinicians across the province in various clinical settings to understand needs and requirements and how Endpoints can be optimized to match their workflows. Travel throughout the province and on-site assessment work is required.

• Clinical User-Centered Design & Workflow Analysis: Working closely with Clinical and Technical resources leading the process of understanding, documenting, and optimizing the placement and deployment of Endpoint devices in clinical workflows that will be used within Facilities.

• Usability & Adoption: Ensure Endpoint selection and configuration are intuitive and promote user adoption.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between clinical end-users, the CIS vendor, internal IT teams, and project leadership on all matters related to usability and endpoint technology.


Qualifications:

• College Degree in either Business, Healthcare or Information Technology OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• 3 years of demonstrated experience with a focus on Canadian health information systems, standards, technology, and/or software.

• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working directly with clinicians in Hospital settings, completing activities such as requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business or clinical process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation.

• Proven experience working in a clinical setting, routinely working with clinicians to ensure the optimal placement and deployment of Endpoints and devices that support clinical workflows.


Scored Requirements:

• Strong facilitation skills: demonstrated experience in leading workshops to identify and articulate business requirements, system requirements, and develop user stories, user personas, and/or use cases.

• Demonstrated communication, facilitation, and strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.

• Demonstrated experience conducting various research methods (usability testing, surveys, etc.) to understand user behavior and needs.

• Verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in both French and English is strongly preferred.

• Previous experience working within New Brunswick's technology or healthcare environments showcasing a strong understanding of the local landscape, policies, and practices.

• Based out of New Brunswick is considered an asset.

• Previous experience working as a clinician would be considered an asset.
