Duties And Responsibilities
- Deliver propane to various work sites in Calgary and the surrounding area.
- Inspect equipment fluid levels daily.
- Filling propane and loading/unloading for deliveries to customers sites.
- Ensure propane is secure per company procedure and inspect in transit if necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
- Ensure customer signature is on every contact.
- Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.
- Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.
- Communicate with branch of any delays so that customers can be advised.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks to proactively identify and advise of any mechanical issues.
- Keep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times.
- Complete daily accurate pre-inspections and post-inspections regulatory logs and timesheets.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Valid Class 3 or 5 driver's license with air endorsement and a clean or satisfactory drive's abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
- Familiar with local roads.
- Previous LPG/propane experience considered an asset.
- Very customer-oriented with a professional and courteous attitude.
- Available to work overtime when required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Willingness to participate in job-specific training.
- Active Standard First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
- Ability to identify and describe mechanical issues on the truck/trailer.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment is an asset.
- Must have own transportation with strong knowledge of Calgary and surrounding area.
