Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting in the management of inbound and outbound rail activity for all products. This position will involve daily communication and coordination with the railways, plant personnel and Logistics teams in North America. This position involves after-hours and weekend responsibilities.

Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting in the management of inbound and outbound rail activity for all products. This position will involve daily communication and coordination with the railways, plant personnel and Logistics teams in North America. This position involves after-hours and weekend responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Coordinate production plans with plant personnel based on shipment needs.
- Coordinate rail movement with local railway operations teams on a daily basis.
- Schedule outbound truck shipments on all products.
- Billing of railcars within railway deadlines, 7 days/week.
- Daily data entry of shipment details.
- Understand railyard operations and coordinate rail movement with the Material Handling team.
- Understand Load Out operations and create loading plans for the Material Handling team based on shipment needs and car availability.
- Monitor car and product availability to ensure adequate supply to meet customer and plant needs.
- Work with all areas of the plant to ensure product meets Quality and Food Safety requirements.
- Communication with customer brokers for scheduling and shipment details.
- Ensure customs compliance on shipments.
- Monitor byproduct levels and shipments.
- Review invoices related to supplemental and repair charges.
- CompuWeigh & iGMS.
- Bourque Logistics Programming – Ebill, Yardmaster, Railport.
- Standard office equipment.
- Microsoft Office 365 applications (i.e., Excel, MS Word, SharePoint, Teams).
- 5 to 8 years of previous work experience in transportation operations an asset.
- Must have High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have exceptional attention to detail.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively is compulsory to this position, including the ability to convey information at all levels of the organization.
- Sound understanding of the Profit (Loss) statements is required.
- Must be assertive in decision making and maintain a positive attitude.
- Must be well organized, self motivated and be able to work effectively under pressure or unexpected timelines.
