The IP Lab Support Engineer will provide Lab Support Services at the Client’s IP Lab in Ottawa, Canada.

Job Description
The IP Lab Support Engineer will provide Lab Support Services at the Client’s IP Lab in Ottawa, Canada.
The Following Services Are Required
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the lab’s electrical power system, alarm status of the equipment, lab temperature levels, Air Conditioning levels and battery back-up status. The lab is periodically audited for compliance therefore all conditions of the lab need to be closely monitored.
- Provide set-up services for the installation, configuration and testing of lab servers as required by the Client’s authorities.
- Conduct standard patching on Servers for maintaining Security status on the equipment.
- Initiate configuration changes and implement into lab network elements.
- Perform topology builds as requested by Network Design Engineers (see MOP)
- Initiate topology changes as directed by Network Design Engineers (see MOP)
- Support Lab Trials and assist with standard Hardware Failover testing.
- Provide checklist indicating lab Security policies has been followed per Governance requirements.
- Provide status reports of the work completed and summary of issues and resolutions.
- Review daily job requirements and work completions with Supplier Manager including any meetings with the Client’s personnel.
- Provide all required systems documentation such as Test Records, MOPs, checklists or other important details to the Client’s Lab Manager.
- Perform asset management services for lab equipment and maintain inventory and supply records.
- Handle UPS shipping and receiving duties related to lab requirements.
- The Lab Support Professional will be required to provide a weekly status update of all activities to the Client’s management.
