Sony Imageworks is seeking an Operations Coordinator!


Summary:

This is an associate role reporting to the Manager of Studio Operations. The candidate must have excellent communication and problem solving skills, be able to follow instructions, work independently, be detail oriented, trustworthy and diligent. Prior operational experience is preferred. Please note this is a full-time in-office position.


This position supports the day to day operations of the studio. Below is a list of the type of duties and skill required:


What you’ll be doing:

The following tasks provide a general overview of the types of activity the role holder will be expected to engage in on a day-to-day basis. The tasks are not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities as the nature of our business requires all employees to be flexible, self motivated, and to think creatively when presented with challenges:


  • Prepare weekly office orders (supply, grocery, stationary).
  • Assist in daily execution of shipping, receiving, and other mailroom related tasks. Experience with FedEx is a plus.
  • Monitor and action site specific tickets through FreshService.
  • Liaise relationships between production and studio operations.
  • Graphic creation with Canva for events and studio initiatives.
  • Assist with in- office moves.
  • General administration duties, such as printing, copying, scanning.
  • Support of studio events including planning and execution (catering, decor, graphics, outside venue arrangements).
  • Day-to-day studio upkeep (kitchens, boardrooms, common areas).
  • Help maintain strong outside vendor relationships.
  • Expense management support.
  • Onboarding support through presentations, tours, and first day preparation
  • Assist supporting business accounts through third-party companies such as DoorDash, Uber, Couriers, and others as needed

  • Able to maintain professionalism when speaking with internal and external stakeholders through email, chat, and phone calls
  • Thrives in a, at times, high pressure environment and perform time sensitive tasks
  • Capable of lifting and moving heavier items, possibly up to 20lbs


Requirements:

  • Current legal right to work in Canada
  • Must be 19 years or older
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week plus potential overtime and weekend work.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $18.37/hour to $22.98/hour. Benefits are per company policy: which include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, standard increases as applicable. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
