Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has an exciting new opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk. The purpose of this position is to perform administrative tasks associated with the functions of Receiving, Receiving Inspection and shipping.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Analyze incoming receipts & determine the type of documentation to be raised.
  • Prepare receiving vouchers and associated customs documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute the ”Over/Short Damage Report” when required.
  • Analyze purchase orders to determine the supplier documentation requirements.
  • Verify that the documentation/ certification received conform to customer specifications.
  • Interface with suppliers to resolve documentation and certification problems.
  • Prepare shipping labels
  • Prepare shipping documentation and certification as directed.
  • Perform other clerical duties such as filing, sorting, distributing documentation and word processing.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years clerical experience in a warehouse or manufacturing shipping and receiving environment.
  • Demonstrated computer skills using MS Word & Excel
  • Working knowledge of shipping & receiving: invoices, shipping documents, receiving vouchers
  • Good oral and written communication skills
