As a Senior Groom Artist, you’ll work closely with the Tech Art team to push the boundaries of hair creation, where shaders play a key role in achieving visual excellence. You’ll help define the future of grooming at Dead by Daylight by developing tools and workflows that support our long-term quality goals. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, a deep understanding of shaders, and a passion for grooming.

In this role you will :

  • Demonstrates exceptional skills in creating high-quality Hair and Fur grooms to meet look development objectives.
  • Adapts and create pipelines and techniques, continuously pushing the quality of Hair & Fur results.
  • Brings extensive experience with grooming tools such as Houdini or XGen.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality art assets that meet specifications and deadlines.

What we're looking for :

  • 5+ years of post-secondary educational experience in 2D and 3D art production.
  • Proficiency in using Maya and Blender is a plus.
  • A comprehensive modelling and texturing portfolio showing 3D character art to a very high standard, with a specific ability in the representation of Hair & Fur creation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a self-directed manner and to make timely, well thought-out decisions.
  • Great interpersonal skills. Must be able to work closely in a team setting and with other dependent departments.
