As a Clinical Specialist, you will be a key member of the project team for Hospital Capital Design Standardization. You will have responsibility for sharing your practical knowledge of Ontario hospital operations (people, practices, and spaces) in alignment with Jacobs and our Clients health goals. In this role you will report (virtually) to the Project Manager in Toronto, and work (virtually) primarily with the Clinical Specialist in Evidence Based Design and secondarily with the Clinical Specialist in Ontario Hospitals and associated clinical project team members.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Work with the Canadian Jacobs’ Clinical Advisory Team to deliver advice and recommendations to the hospital capital design standardization team
  • Provide advice on hospital design standards, drawing on clinical and hospital operational experience
  • Provide advice on clinical planning for a hospital setting
  • Assess staffing assumptions related to hospital design standards, from a clinical perspective
  • Become familiar with relevant Ontario
  • Consult with hospitals and other organizations, including developing/sharing materials for discussions and presentations
  • Participate in internal and client-facing meetings as required
  • Deliver presentations to Ministry of Health and Ontario Health staff, associated working groups, and/or advisory committees
  • Provide mentorship, guidance and clear delegation of tasks to junior team members, where appropriate


Here's what you'll need

  • Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 15-20 years of experience in a hospital setting
  • Working knowledge of IPAC (infection prevention and control) and skills in preventing and controlling the spread of infections
  • Ability to think critically and strategically about how design can impact patient experiences and outcomes
  • Experience across a variety of hospital units
  • Ability to deliver health training and education for a wide range of stakeholders
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills from working with both internal and external clients
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Preferred knowledge of Ontario’s long term care system and practices

132,500.00

Posted Salary Range Upper

200,420.00
