Digital Workplace and Platform Analyst
How does the role impact the organization?
Under the direction of the Manager, Digital Workplace and Platform Services, the Analyst, Systems Administrator role ensures the reliability, security, and optimal performance of server infrastructure across the organization. The Systems administrator collaborates with IT teams to troubleshoot issues, implement system upgrades, and maintain business continuity.

Digital Workplace and Platform Analyst
How does the role impact the organization?
Under the direction of the Manager, Digital Workplace and Platform Services, the Analyst, Systems Administrator role ensures the reliability, security, and optimal performance of server infrastructure across the organization. The Systems administrator collaborates with IT teams to troubleshoot issues, implement system upgrades, and maintain business continuity.
What will your role be responsible for?
- Responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are running efficiently, securely, and with minimal downtime.
- Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system: update alerting agent scripts, create and monitor dashboards, and provide metrics and reporting.
- Deploy, configure and manage infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth, deploying and configuring new virtual servers.
- IIS Configuration and Management: Installing, configuring, and managing IIS web servers, including setting up websites, virtual directories, application pools, and handling SSL certificates.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining A Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, including servers and related services.
- Configure, maintain, monitor, upgrade, and support network services, such as Active Directory and AD Replication, DNS, DHCP, SMB, DFSR.
- Work with internal Security teams to remediate critical security findings and vulnerabilities on Servers and identity access management.
- Perform upgrades, patches, and updates to virtual and physical underlying infrastructure and applications and server operating systems.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and management of VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter server.
- Manage and troubleshoot all aspects of Active Directory and Azure EntraID, including synchronization, infrastructure, and user accounts.
- Create, troubleshoot, and maintain scripts, including PowerShell and Batch scripts to automate repetitive tasks for improved reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in the planning and execution of technology projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and are delivered on time.
- Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
- Provide off-hours support for critical and other production issues as part of the team on call rotation.
- Provide documentary evidence for IT auditors.
- Coordinating and assist leading response efforts during IT disruptions or disaster events, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.

What do we expect from you?
To qualify for this opportunity you possess:
- Bachelors degree in technology, computer science or equivalent proven IT work experience.
- 2+ years of experience deploying, administering, and upgrading Microsoft Active Directory, AD Sites and Services, FSMO Roles, AD Replication, ADFS
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing internal and external DNS servers, records and zones.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience deploying, administering, and upgrading Windows Server and Client operating systems
- 2+ years hands-on experience maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure
- Has excellent verbal communication skills. Comfortable communicating in person and via phone/e-mail with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
- Excellent analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively and independently with clients, vendors, IT management and staff.
- Advanced problem diagnosis and resolution required, with a sharp focus on enterprise security analysis and optimizing system reliability, and performance.
- Able to manage, perform backups, and restores via Commvault or similar Enterprise backup solutions.
- Experience managing and configuring Zerto or SRM and perform failover’s in DR scenarios. (nice to have)
- Experience with managing enterprise hardware including HPE Proliant, Synergy compute and HPE Nimble, MSA, and Alletra storage or similar.
