As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing innovative components and systems for modified aircraft—from concept to completion.

What You’ll Do

  • Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and Bills of Materials using advanced CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Support the full engineering lifecycle—from design to testing to delivery—on custom mechanical solutions for aircraft modification.
  • Conduct model analyses to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and maintainability requirements.
  • Perform thorough checks on technical drawings to ensure completeness and adherence to internal and industry standards.
  • Analyze technical documents, specifications, and customer requirements to determine project feasibility and scope.
  • Propose or implement design modifications to enhance functionality and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshoot component issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Present and defend your design work in internal technical reviews.

What You Bring

  • 3D CAD Proficiency: Advanced experience with SolidWorks, PDM, and PLM systems.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving ability with a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles.
  • Detail Orientation: Accuracy and thoroughness in creating and reviewing designs and documentation.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional engineering team.
  • Communication Skills: Capable of clearly presenting technical ideas and solutions to peers and leadership.
  • Leadership Potential: Willingness to mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements.

Preferred Qualities

  • Experience with aerospace mechanical systems and modification projects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with aircraft regulatory requirements and standards is advantageous.
  • Exposure to a fast-paced, project-driven engineering environment.
