What You’ll Do

Join our dynamic team and embark on a fulfilling career. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about heavy equipment and eager to join us as a Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician based out of Cornwall, Ontario.

As a technician operating out of a service truck, you will play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of medium and heavy-duty trucks. You will be responsible for delivering efficient and high-quality service, repairs, adjustments, and maintenance as directed by the Fleet Manager. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently with minimal supervision.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting work orders and technical manuals to execute tasks accurately.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and adjustments to ensure the longevity and safety of our vehicles.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults and malfunctions efficiently.
  • Completing warranty repairs with correct OEM procedures
  • Executing tasks specified in work orders and replacing or repairing defective parts, components, or systems with precision.
  • Assessing vehicles to determine the need for additional safety or service work.
  • Conducting comprehensive tests on repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing a small inventory of essential parts and tools to support on-site repairs and maintenance.
  • Preparing detailed written reports upon the completion of work orders.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2 – 3 years of on-road experience working with heavy-duty equipment.
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician certification is preferred.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Possession of a Class 3 Driver's License or Air Brake Endorsement is considered a valuable asset.
  • Cummins / Insite experience a valuable asset
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
