POSITION SUMMARY:

Working with the entire project team, from sales to engineering, the Manufacturing Project Estimator will prepare estimates and propose technical solutions that meet our customers request for proposal requirements.

 

POSITION DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the estimating of REV’s manufactured products which includes coordinating with REV’s engineering and design, purchasing, quality and management to produce an accurate quotation.
  • Estimating tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
  1. Review of specifications to ensure technical design requirements are met in REV’s proposal submittals.
  2. Estimate (material take off and labour).
  3. Work with REV’s purchasing department to obtain quotations from vendors and contractors.
  4. Communication with clients through sales to ensure the requirements are met.
  5. Creation of proposal documents, and scheduling of proposal review for client submittal.
  • Completing proposals based on timeline requirements ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Responsible for engaging all required team members.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager to ensure REV's goals and objectives are met.
  • Performs all duties to meet the responsibilities listed in REV's Safety and Human Resources Policy Manual.
  • Performs duties according to REV's quality system procedures and work instructions.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of experience with electrical project estimating is considered a requirement.
  • 2 years of experience in Electrical Manufacturing, specifically Switchgear, Substations and PDU products preferred.
  • Technologist Diploma, Electrical Engineering Technologist (EET) or equivalent an asset.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in order to meet firm deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Mathematical competency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
  • Experience in an industrial capacity with a notable willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Active and energetic team player interested in furthering their experience within a manufacturing environment.
