Your impact

Our team is looking for an experienced and collaborative Communications and Consultation Lead that is qualified to work on large transportation infrastructure projects in Ontario.

This position requires an individual who can initiate and develop effective working relationships in with a wide range of people at varying levels of organizations; who is diplomatic and tactful; who can independently meet job responsibilities in an organized and efficient manner; who has the knowledge and skill to apply all relevant resources when solving problems; who builds and sustains teamwork through trust relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University in Communications, Planning, Marketing, or similar field
  • Minimum 20 or more years’ experience with at least 10 years in Communications and Consultation and a minimum of 5 years acting as the Communications and Consultation lead for major transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Deep knowledge of communications and consultation standards for major construction projects in Ontario.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AODA and FIPPA.
  • Excellent verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills across several platforms including but not limited to websites, emails, letters, social media, and news releases.
  • Demonstrated success working with the public and ability to connect with citizens and stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Advanced computing skills working with WordPress platforms, online tools, social media accounts, digital media (photography and videography), MS Word, PowerPoint, and communication and collaboration tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills; stickler for meeting deadlines; works well under tight deadlines and stressful situations; agile in tracking and responding to public and stakeholder questions and complaints; able to multi-tasking; creative problem-solver.
