The Integrated Supports team provides a necessary and invaluable service to our individuals in service, promoting inclusive community activities and support in their residential homes.
With its humble beginning in 1993, Supported Lifestyles has grown tremendously and is one of Calgary’s largest agencies in the Human Service industry. Supported Lifestyles Ltd. is a not-for-profit agency that provides services to adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of intervention plans that provide optimal support for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Additionally, they will be responsible for overseeing service delivery, supervising team leaders, and assisting in training staff to develop strong behavioural intervention skills. The successful candidate will organize, monitor, and evaluate service delivery outcomes in consultation with front-line staff and team leaders in the service area.
This position will require the successful incumbent to collaborate and coordinate with community agencies and other support services. They will also be responsible for responding to crisis situations, assessing/responding to service area needs, and participating in agency committees.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A diploma in a human service field (e.g., social work, psychology, disability studies, etc.) or a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalency is required
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with developmental disabilities (e.g., dual diagnosis, complex needs, and behavioural challenges)
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- A vehicle is required
Typical Schedule
The schedule for the position is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM, though flexibility is required to meet operational needs
Compensation
The annual salary for this position is $64,801.68 to start, and we offer a competitive benefits package.
