Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 annually
Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Our team in Canada is growing. We are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join our Minerals and Metals business in Vancouver or Calgary.
About The Role
- Maintaining accuracy of estimates by collecting and entering appropriate data into estimates under the direction of a senior estimator.
- Developing estimates (CapEx) for projects through managing estimate models, collecting, entering data and conducting regular reviews.
- Working with other disciplines to collect all necessary data on scope and quantities in order to prepare an accurate estimate in all specialty discipline areas. Perform analysis on functional input.
- Organizing estimates (CapEx) by the work breakdown structure and discipline, calculate wage and unit rates, check quantities and scope and prepare field and office costs.
- Contributing to maintain a database of estimate unit rates within assigned disciplines: labor, equipment, materials, subs, etc. Contribute to prepare cost studies utilizing historical data.
- Managing any changes that will impact on estimates through continual contact with all levels of Management, Project Managers and the Engineering Department to determine required changes and have these incorporated.
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar role ideally with an engineering consulting firm.
- A degree or diploma in engineering, applied science or related field.
- Sound numerical, conceptual and analytical skills, with high attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working on a project team.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power point) required
- Previous experience with industrial estimating software preferred.
- Familiar with AACE classification of estimates is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable interfacing with clients and all levels of management.
