Ecora is seeking a Geotechnical EIT (Engineer-in-Training) to join our expanding Geotechnical Group. The position will be based in our Kelowna or Vancouver offices to support our growing workload across British Columbia. We are looking for a motivated EIT who is eager to gain hands-on experience in geotechnical site investigations, laboratory testing, data analysis, and the preparation of technical deliverables, while working toward Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and logistics for field investigations, including borehole drilling, in-situ testing, and groundwater monitoring.
- Conduct and document field tests, ensuring proper sample handling and safety compliance.
- Support coordination of laboratory testing for soil and rock samples; compile and review test results.
- Process and interpret geotechnical data to develop subsurface profiles, cross-sections, and preliminary ground models.
- Prepare draft sections of geotechnical reports, including figures, tables, and basic engineering calculations.
- Perform routine geotechnical analyses (bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability) under supervision.
- Maintain project databases, lab logs, and GIS/CAD files for geotechnical deliverables.
- Participate in site visits, instrumentation installations, and construction observations.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, and environmental teams to integrate geotechnical input into projects.
- Ensure adherence to health & safety, environmental, and quality control standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering; EIT registration (or eligibility) in BC.
- 1–2 years of co-op or professional experience in geotechnical engineering preferred.
- Familiarity with field investigation methods, soil and rock classification, and basic laboratory testing.
- Basic proficiency with geotechnical software and CAD/GIS tools is an asset.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear technical writing ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to work outdoors in variable conditions and travel to remote project sites.
- Commitment to professional growth, safety, and ethical engineering practice.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
