As part of our continued commitment to delivering impactful learning and content solutions, Innovatia is currently recruiting a seasoned consultant to support a US-based Bank in a high-profile revamp of their Ethics Training and Communications program. This role is centered on helping the bank define and implement a fit-for-purpose Ethics Framework and Decision-Making Framework, while also delivering strategies to ensure long-term sustainment and behavioral adoption.

The ideal candidate combines multi-framework expertise, consulting acumen, and a sustainment mindset—capable of not just designing frameworks, but embedding them into the cultural, operational, and learning systems of a complex financial organization.

Responsibilities

Framework Evaluation & Customization

  • Evaluate a broad set of existing models (e.g., G.R.A.C.E., PLUS, ETHIC, ISO 37001, RIMS, Ethics Triangle) to identify the right-fit framework or hybrid model for A US-based Bank.
  • Lead stakeholder discovery to determine framework alignment with the bank’s values, compliance obligations, and ethical risk tolerance.
  • Tailor frameworks to meet the specific needs of front-line staff, managers, and leadership.

Framework Design & Implementation

  • Architect a comprehensive Ethics Framework and Decision-Making Model that support principled behavior, risk-informed decisions, and compliance.
  • Ensure alignment with:
    • The bank’s Code of Conduct and Values
    • Regulatory and legal requirements (e.g., OCC, FRB, CFPB, SEC)
    • Organizational DEI, ESG, and L&D strategies
Sustainment Strategy Development

  • Design a sustainment roadmap that goes beyond training—focusing on reinforcement, measurement, and governance.
  • Define mechanisms for:
    • Ongoing messaging and communication
    • Leader enablement and role modeling
    • Measurement and reporting on ethical decision-making behaviors
    • Integration into performance management and risk functions
  • Develop partnerships with HR, Audit, Compliance, and Learning to embed frameworks into systems and rituals (e.g., onboarding, annual training, coaching, promotions).
Consulting & Advisory Services

  • Advise stakeholders on best practices, risks, and opportunities in implementing and evolving ethical frameworks.
  • Conduct ethics maturity assessments and facilitate ethical risk diagnostics.
  • Translate frameworks into actionable guidance, tools, and learning assets in partnership with Innovatia’s instructional design team.

Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

  • Facilitate interactive workshops to co-create decision-making norms and ethical practice tools with business leaders.
  • Coach managers and champions to model and sustain ethical behaviors within teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across the Bank’s US compliance, ethics, and learning functions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in ethics, compliance, enterprise risk, or organizational culture roles, including senior advisory or consulting positions.
  • Demonstrated success in:
    • Selecting and customizing ethics frameworks
    • Driving framework sustainment within large or regulated organizations
    • Building measurement, reinforcement, and governance strategies for ethical behavior
  • Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory context (banking/financial services)
  • Familiar with multiple frameworks (e.g., GRACE, PLUS, ISO 37001, ETHIC, etc.)
Education & Certifications

  • Education preferred:
    • Degree in Ethics, Organizational Psychology, Business, Risk Management, or Law.
  • Certifications preferred:
  • CCEP or CCEP-I (Compliance & Ethics)
  • CRM (Certified Risk Manager)
  • SCCE, ICA, or equivalent credentials

  • Expertise in framework selection, integration, and evolution
  • Systems thinking and strong sustainment planning mindset
  • Skilled in facilitation, coaching, and strategic communication
  • Data-driven, outcome-oriented, and a natural collaborator

Preferred Experience

  • Experience consulting to or working within large US-based banks or financial institutions
  • Knowledge of cross-border organizational ethics, particularly Canada-US dynamics
  • Familiarity with emerging areas of AI ethics, digital risk, or ESG/DEI ethics integration
  • Direct involvement in the design, development, and enterprise-wide rollout of ethics training programs
