NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. The post will include the following responsibilities: Staff Management - dealing with challenging situations, Staff Training/ TURAS reviews, Completion of audits in relation to the service provision and Food Safety (HACCP) requirements, Full compliance with all required legislation, policies, procedures and regulations, Departmental Audits of kitchens, dealing with customer complaints. Financial management including profit & loss experience. The post holder also requires to have experience of corporate hospitality / functions management and demonstrate previous experience in introducing income generation schemes and spotting opportunities for retail growth.
The post holder requires to have a robust knowledge of Food Safety and will need to be certified in Advanced Food Hygiene. It would be desirable for the candidate to have a Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a related discipline. In addition they will require to have knowledge and experience in Health & Safety, Infection Control, COSHH, Lifting & handling and the use of all machinery required to be used in the provision of the Retail Catering Service.
This key role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong track record in managing multi-site retail catering operations, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a healthcare setting.
