Expected Salary $57,508 to $71,885

In determining the final salary, Babcock will consider a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and be presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyse, vet, and interrogate the Work Specification to ensure a full and detailed understanding of customer’s requirements (including resource and material identification)
  • Provide technical support for the contract bid preparation during the planning phase
  • Investigate and compile a listing of surveys required by the work specification and determine whether the recommendations are covered by costed options
  • Create Manageable Tasks and management activities through utilizing the project software (PEPS)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and the client’s agents
  • Comply with all working practices, standards of discipline, safety, and quality
  • When necessary, deputize for the Planning Supervisor and ensure that the direction of the department is followed in relation to strategic direction of the company
  • Coordinate production activity material reviews
  • Review Engineering Changes (EC) for material requirements prior to implementation
  • Act as point of contact for all material queries within the planning team
  • Collect and combine material from Learning from Experience (LFE) for future projects
  • Raise Change Requirements (CR) and Enquiries (EN) for material related issues
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate brings:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Project Control software
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite, in particular Excel and possess the ability to organise and analyse large data sets
  • Experience working within an ERP environment e.g. IFS, SAP or similar
  • Experience with Work Package Management software
  • Experience with Project Estimating and Planning Systems
  • Experience with Royal Canadian Navy (or similar experience) operating system would be considered an asset
  • Experience in material planning
  • Experience in a project/material management environment
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
