The Opportunity
Northside Industries, an award-winning leader in the manufacturing and assembly of steel and aluminum fabrications for the Oil and Gas, Forestry, Heavy Duty Truck, and Mining sectors, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in West Kelowna, BC.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our equipment and facilities remain reliable, safe, and efficient. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined, hands-on individual with a strong aptitude for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a self-motivated team player who brings a well-rounded maintenance skill set, a safety-first mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Trade certification (Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, or Electrician) is a strong asset
- Electrical ticket or training is highly desirable
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and (where qualified) electrical systems
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems or a willingness to learn
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
- Physical fitness with the ability to lift, bend, and work in elevated or confined spaces
- Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to working safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to support shift work, weekend maintenance, and unplanned repairs as needed
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, minimizing production downtime
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records of work performed using maintenance software
- Assist with process improvements and contribute to equipment upgrades
- Ensure safe working practices are followed, including use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and 5S programs
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and materials
