We are looking to expand by adding a Senior Field Engineer to our construction team. In this role, the Senior Field Engineer will carry out regular services and execute projects from conception to completion. Responsibilities include interfacing with clients, procurement, and reading and understanding project specifications.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

We are looking to expand by adding a Senior Field Engineer to our construction team. In this role, the Senior Field Engineer will carry out regular services and execute projects from conception to completion. Responsibilities include interfacing with clients, procurement, and reading and understanding project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee construction projects: resource and budget requirements, cost estimates, and timelines. Meet daily with project crews to review production schedules and confirm that all materials, equipment, and resources are readily available to keep production on schedule and within budget.
- Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling. Identify risk elements of production, materials, equipment, or processes that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
- Participate in client meetings alongside the project manager to review project details and verify that project components are installed per specifications and design requirements.
- Manage procurement of site materials, tools, and equipment required for projects.
- Manage subcontractors, prepare quotes for site services, and source new subcontractors as needed.
- Handle project scheduling and execution of labor forecasts and associated project costs. Notify team members and managers of significant schedule changes and recommend solutions for consideration.
- Use MS Project and other project management tools to input cost codes and project-related details.
- Assess processes, manage project budgets, take measurements, and interpret data. Provide improvement suggestions and lessons learned to management for assigned projects.
- Report to the Project Manager and participate in weekly progress meetings.
- Coordinate with Quality Control/Quality Assurance on work sites. Support foremen and work crews with materials, tools, and clarification of project specifications.
- Examine and inspect field conditions, identify problems or inaccuracies, and prepare Requests for Information as needed.
- Develop site-specific safety plans.
- Perform take-offs and additional duties as required.
- Full-time employment required.
- Travel to job sites is required. Work is conducted both on-site and in the office.
- Must be eligible to meet and maintain requirements for applicable security clearances.
- Willingness to travel to job sites outside the Lower Mainland is considered an asset.
