Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Responsible for continually looking at ways to improve quality and operations.
  • Identify areas that need process control optimization.
  • Evaluating the efficiency of manufacturing technologies, instruments, equipment, and tools.
  • Driving process control innovation in collaboration with senior management.
  • Is responsible for driving the process of machine optimization and will work as a member of a team to provide continuous improvement.
  • Keeping process control within budget without compromising quality and efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Documenting processes and preparing progress reports.
  • This position also provides technical support for the daily operation of the mill.
  • New product development/grade specification.
  • Oversee all control testing.
  • Technology transfer.

  • Ability to understand requirements and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management.
  • Extensive industry specific process knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritize, make sound decisions, and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and time management skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the company.

Required Qualifications

  • Eng degree is required.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in control process engineering or related industry.
  • Paper machine knowledge is an asset.
