The Role

The Senior Programmer Analyst (.NET) will support all the design and development change activities in a variety of systems on the .NET platform. You will be responsible for design, development and system analysis for complex processes in support of day-to-day operational service requests, participate in delivery of new solutions and addressing production issues.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide recommendation into the selection and implementation of new features to translate complex requirements to solution and production
  • Prepare and maintain detailed design/technical specification documents for delivering requested business functionality through the solution
  • Develop new requirements following SDLC best practices
  • Work with the development team to ensure quality deliverables by completion of unit and integration testing, and of assigned tasks
  • Support and collaborate with the Senior Test Analyst on the team
  • Partner with business analysts and business users to create training materials and documentation, when required
  • Participate in addressing production operational requests and production issues, as required


Job status: Full time, Permanent

Salary: $70,757 - $83,243

Work status: Full time in office and hybrid work arrangements are available

Location: Must live and work in Ontario to perform this role


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ IT experience in full development cycle of Web and Windows applications on .NET platforms (FW4.6 or higher) using C#
  • 2+ years’ experience using Oracle
  • Experience in SharePoint configuration or ESRI GIS software, an asset
  • Experience in systems integration and implementation of Service Oriented Architecture using WCF web Services or Web API in system development
  • Experience in stored procedures and using tools such as Toad or PL/SQL developer
  • Experience in using TFS/JIRA in day-to-day system development activities and Agile methodology
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to understand, analyze, troubleshoot and solve technical issues under time constraints
  • Experience in production support with strong analytical skills to identify and address production issues
  • Demonstrate creative problem solving abilities through work experiences
  • Excellent communication skills and team working capabilities
