Position Information
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacy Manager will lead and manage all clinical pharmacy services and professional practice activities to ensure pharmacy staff are able to achieve the vision of the Pharmacy Program. Position Information
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacy Manager will lead and manage all clinical pharmacy services and professional practice activities to ensure pharmacy staff are able to achieve the vision of the Pharmacy Program. Throughout the course of your duties, you will be required to:
- Assist with the development, planning, organization and implementation of patient care services and therapy programs;
- Develop and sustain patient quality and safety management programs;
- Provide professional practice leadership to the department staff in terms of evaluating performance, professional development, coaching, mentoring and discipline of staff members;
- Develop and maintain the appropriate skills and competencies to meet departmental objectives;
- Enhance and promote medication expertise through a dynamic teaching environment, continuing education, and mentorship.
- Entry to practice Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent;
- Minimum of five (5) years related hospital pharmacy experience;
- Licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists;
- Accredited Canadian Pharmacy Resident Certificate or equivalent;
- In-depth knowledge of hospital practice, drug distribution systems and safe medication practices;
- Experience or training in budget management and policy development;
- Superior communication, conflict management, project management and problem solving skills.
- For candidates with BScPhhm, preference is PharmD. Also prefer hospital pharmacy residency.
- EPIC experience;
- Experience in change management principles;
- Proficiency in English and French ¿ oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
