CMP (Charlottetown Metal Products) is a dynamic and growing stainless steel equipment manufacturer delivering design, fabrication, and installation services and turn-key solutions to our food processing customers. In October 2023 CMP announced an expansion to our Global Innovation Center located on our PEI Campus. This is an exciting new investment in innovation for FPS and CMP.

You will work alongside and compliment our talented team of over 160 engineers, designers, technical sales, and fabricator/welders. You will have an opportunity to grow your knowledge of project management and machinery design and leverage that knowledge to build strength in hygienic design of food processing equipment. CMP is constantly innovating and contributing to more advanced hygienic designs to exceed client needs. We engineer food safety in everything we do.
Position Scope
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to work with other coordinators and Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time with the highest quality and service.

Position Scope
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to work with other coordinators and Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time with the highest quality and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that each new project is commenced in accordance with Standard Procedure for Project Start-up, as may be delegated by the Project Manager
- Day-to-day management, monitoring and correction of project construction to ensure compliance with the Master Schedule, Control Budget and Contract Documents in accordance with the duties outlined herein, as may be delegated by the Project Manager
- Review, action and respond to daily project correspondence. Action and completion of project issues from incoming communications through to filing of completed items, as may be delegated by the Project Manager
- Managing sales projects from contract to completion, including scheduling deliveries and account reconciliation
- Providing calendar management
- Creating and updating high-level reports and presentations
- Developing and nurturing relationships with customers
- Fielding all phone calls from clients and addressing their needs
- Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, engineering technology or similar engineering disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of project-related experience
- Highly developed PC skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven Project Management Skills, highly organized, goal-oriented, sense of urgency, detail-oriented and able to manage changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to work with minimum supervision but as part of a tight-knit team
- Capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines, understand business needs and objectives
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to travel to project sites as required from time to time
