We are currently seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to join the Calgary Team.


Job Summary

The Senior Contract Administrator leads construction administration on multiple projects, ensuring project delivery success through strategic oversight, issue resolution, and team mentorship. This senior role is accountable for high-quality execution, client satisfaction, and mentoring of junior staff while maintaining alignment with Zeidler’s technical and delivery standards.


Key Responsibilities

Design + Documentation

  • Lead the preparation, management, and review of construction documentation.
  • Coordinate project tendering and technical compliance reviews.
  • Provide input during code and design reviews to ensure delivery excellence.

Project Support + Coordination

  • Oversee multiple projects, guiding internal teams and engaging with contractors.
  • Conduct site reviews, resolve field issues, and ensure delivery milestones are met.
  • Represent Zeidler in meetings with clients, consultants, authorities, and industry events.
  • Mentor junior contract admin staff, assisting with process improvements and technical issues.
  • Ensure all work aligns with the firm’s Project Delivery standards, including proper use of filing systems, adherence to architectural procedures, and compliance with drawing and documentation protocols.

Team + Culture

  • Foster a collaborative environment and contribute to a high-performance project culture.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards.
  • Champion Zeidler’s industry reputation through engagement, leadership, and professionalism.
  • This position requires 100% in-office and/or site presence to support in-person collaboration, real-time mentorship, and effective cross-functional alignment across teams and disciplines.


Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or equivalent construction experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction administration or site-based project management.
  • Proficient in codes, specifications, and CA forms; Revit and AutoCAD considered an asset.
  • Strong client relationship skills, leadership, and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of green building standards and a valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
  • Ability to travel across provinces as needed for project oversight.
